About Alison Allan

Since studying acting and musical theatre at the famous Mountview Theatre School, Alison has performed as a solo artist in many leading venues in this country and abroad.

The Savoy Hotel - Alison held a long residency at The Savoy Hotel with The Piccadilly Dance Orchestra with its highly successful "Stompin’ at The Savoy" dinner dances, and was featured in The Savoy’s Millennium Celebrations.

In cabaret - Alison has performed at The Jermyn Street Theatre, The Purcell Room, Pizza on The Park and at the BBC Proms in the Park.

Radio broadcasts - Friday Night is Music Night and Sheridan Morley’s BBC Radio 2 programme celebrating the life and works of Noel Coward. Recording work includes A Marvellous Party (TER Records recorded at Abbey Road Studios), and When Lights are Low (TakeNote Productions)

International appearancesRaffles Hotel in Singapore, The Oriental Hotel in Bangkok, The Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong, Forte Grand Hotel in Jordan and as a celebrity guest star on the Cunard ship, The Royal Viking Sun.

UK appearances - concerts and performances at – The Queen Elizabeth Hall, Blenheim Palace, Claridges Hotel London, The Chichester Festival Theatre, Henley Festival, Aldeburgh Festival, Summer Swing at Kew Gardens, Exeter Festival, Buxton Opera House, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Wavendon (home of Dame Cleo Laine and Johnny Dankworth), The Hurlingham Club in London, and the private home of Sir Paul Getty for his 70th Birthday celebrations.

Other work – The role of Christine in the national tour of Ken Hill’s Phantom of the Opera, a live TV performance with the 78rpm Jazz Band on "Lorraine" GMTV, the Mardi Gras Jazz Band, Old Time Music hall, Players’ Theatre London, and the title role in Dick Whittington (Upstage Theatre Productions).

Hereford - Alison recently moved to Herefordshire and was invited to appear in "Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris" as part of the Three Choirs Festival. She has also performed at the Aylestone Court Hotel with the JCJazz Trio for the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in Hereford.

Alison loves living in the beautiful countryside of Herefordshire with her family. Her singing career has allowed her to travel all over the world and perform in a variety of theatres, concert halls, music festivals and stately homes. She is quite used to travelling to the surrounding areas of Birmingham, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Bristol, Cardiff, Oxfordshire, and Wiltshire to perform.
